In October 2016, The Troublemakers ran our first One-Day Disruption Tour in the heart of Sydney. We disrupted participants mindset around business in a full-on day of action taking designed to support and encourage entrepreneurs and start-ups.
After the Disruption Tour, Jules and I began working with a select group of students in a Business Breakout mastermind group, to get their business on the fast track to success. One student, Dr Eunice Man, is a registered medical doctor, mum, wellness consultant and founder of Doc Eunice in Sydney.
Give Your Business Focus
Eunice is one of the loveliest people you will ever meet. So lovely in fact, it was hurting her business.
How?
She was trying to be all things to all people!
Eunice attended one of our Business Breakout sessions, and during our roundtable, presented a problem.
She had just sent out an email campaign and had been overwhelmed by the response. For some, this may be a fantastic problem to have! For Eunice, she had received responses from people who were outside of her target market. This meant she didn’t have a product she could use to help them with, and overwhelm set in.
‘I was confused as to why my email blast has captured leads outside my target market! As a result I didn’t know what to do with the male leads I got as I was still trying to help, feeling I should be converting them as well even though I don’t have a product specific for them.’
‘I felt like if I couldn’t convert those leads it was because my sales skills weren’t good enough, not understanding that my skill set and products didn’t suit the type of help the person needed.’
‘Matt & Jules taught me about being selective, and showed me how they often choose not to work with people who are outside of their target market, referring them to another expert, so they can focus on achieving incredible results with the people in their niche,’ said Eunice.
Get Specific to Get Sales
When you get really clear on who you want to help and how you can help them, sales becomes easy. It even becomes fun! Rather than spending time and energy trying to convince people that they need your product or service, you can focus your attention on helping your avatar achieve incredible results.
From there, the power of referrals and word of mouth takes over, and you will have potential customers lining up at your door wanting to work with you.
‘From that round table consulting session I became selective, and decided to only work with women that are committed to getting rid of stress and moving forward in their lives.’
‘Matt & Jules looked at my payment structure too. They suggested I change my payment plan from fortnightly payments to weekly payments. This helped people to see that such a valuable service was well within their budget.’
‘They also worked with me to improve my promotional emails and slides, so I could talk directly to my target market and show them that I understood, and could solve their pain points. Once I became clear on who I could help and could show them the results they would get, selling became simple, and I increased my profits 700% in one month,’ concluded Eunice.
Make the Breakout
By joining the Business Breakout programme, Eunice immersed herself in a community of like-minded entrepreneurs and business owners who have banded together to hold each other to a higher standard.
Eunice is going from strength to strength, and is, in turn inspiring her fellow Business Breakout participants. Jules and I are so excited about the progress she has made in such a short amount of time, and can’t wait to continue to support her on her journey in the coming months.
