I am often asked “How do i improve performance and productivity?”
I get this question a lot because clients know I travel to all parts of the world, they hear about my amazing experiences, and they can see that I come back recharged and focussed. They watch as my businesses consistently BREAKOUT to the next level.
How do you achieve ALL those things?
I believe there are a number of factors that are easily missed. In my early days as a coach
I would help my clients sort their life into different areas; health, relationships, wealth, business,
and spirituality.
I would help them set specific targets in each area and focus on between 1-3 areas of life.
The results can be great by focussing this way, depending on where the client is in their
personal development journey.
When it comes to someone that is completely clear on their purpose and is working towards
what I call a disruptive mission, then I often take a different approach. I start to look at all
areas of life as a whole and direct all of these areas towards their mission.
I find when people are clear on their purpose in life they tap into new levels of confidence
and creativity. They tap into an unwavering passion and will often work extremely hard,
but it will not feel like work. You have probably heard the statement ‘find out what you love
to do and you will never work a day in your life’.
I start to look at their psychology in a predictive approach and I look at all of their unconscious
belief systems. My approach is to look at ways these belief systems could sabotage the long-term
mission. If these belief systems are left to run by themselves, what could the potential crises be?
I look at health from an energy and life force perspective.
How can we put a strategy in place to consistently RECHARGE the batteries and move the person
from a cycle of running on adrenalin, which over the long term leads to burn out, to something more
sustainable?
Often high achievers won’t even realise they are running on adrenalin. They may even be eating
healthy foods, but their gut health is out of alignment so everything they eat is turning to acid and is
not able to sustain them.
I will often recommend they take some planned breaks. I ask my clients to get away quarterly, get
out of their usual environment and, for the first few days at least, to stop and drop!! This is often my
biggest challenge, to actually get my client to take the time off and do nothing. These getaways work
best with some activities added in. I will often ask them to do some activities that are on their bucket list,
eat alkaline foods, and get into nature! I encourage them to read inspiring books, write in their journals,
go on bush walks, and get some sunshine. This is also a very powerful time to RECHARGE a relationship,
which is why I recommend they do this quarterly break with their partner.
By day three they are starting to RECHARGE. Away from the distracting routine of day-to-day ‘doing’,
new ideas start to come through around their passion and, without any conscious effort, they realign
with their mission. My clients often joke that they make more money while they are away, out of their
usual environment, than when they’re back in it.
On the last day of their getaway, I ask them to set their outcomes and plan goals for the next 90 days.
They come back more energized, focussed, and are pumped for the next 90 days! As well as being
back on track they are also excited about their next quarterly recharge retreat!
Because the results gained from these breaks are so compelling I went on to create
THE ULTIMATE LIFE RECHARGE. This is a programme for high achievers who want to gather their
energy and propel their passion out into the world to create a massive, rewarding DISRUPTION.
I also take a lucky few people with me several times a year and mentor them so they can integrate
this into their life on a consistent basis. Their life then becomes an ongoing retreat. Their energy builds.
The results are incredible!
I hope this helps those high performers out there, those who are wanting to take it to the next level.
Make sure you RECHARGE those batteries, schedule it as part of your plan! Don’t get tunnel vision in
one area of life. When you have all areas working together towards an inspiring outcome, magic happens!!
Cheers
